Rick Rickman's Message: I've been very excited for a few months now anticipating the publication of my new book.

"The Wonder Years" published by Chronicle Books, has been a project I began because I thought that the perception of aging in America has been unduely skewed.

It has been my intent to attempt to show seniors, persons I define as 60 and over, in a more interesting way. I grew up with a grandfather who alway talked about how exciting it was to face a new day. He was always looking to do and learn new things. This is the model of aging that I experience my entire life.

In the pursuit of this project, I believe I found the senior underground. A movement that few know about and little has been written about. It's he venue in which people over 60 are enjoying the aging experience by keeping themselves enthusiastically engage in life itself. I hope this book shares some of that enthusiasm.

Rick Rickman Photography is located in southern California.
