I had the honor to travel with 91 World War II Veterans on the first South Carolina Honor Flight to the World War II Memorial. 91 veterans were flown for free to the nation’s capital to visit the memorial and take a tour of other memorials and Arlington Cemetery. Organizers hope to raise $300,000 to take 600 veterans to visit the memorial, which opened in April 2004. It was the first time many of these vets had taken the trip to DC.
I'm a staff photographer at The State in Columbia, South Carolina. I have shot sports professionaly for over 15 years. In that time I've covered everything from preps to pro sports.
